CAUGHT ABOARD THE AGGRESSOR (5/2)

ALONG WITH THIS HALIBUT, THE SAND BASS ARE STARTING TO GET ACTIVE WITH THE WATER BEGINNING TO WARM. 45 BASS ON 5/1 AND ANOTHER 22 ON 5/2 FOR THE PM 1/2 DAY.

PM 1/2 DAYS HAVE BEEN MAKING IT OUT EVERYDAY WITH VERY LIGHT LOADS.

FIRST BLUE WHALE OF THE YEAR

THE FIRST BLUE WHALE OF THE YEAR WAS JUST SPOTTED ON OUR CATALINA WHALE WATCHING TRIP TODAY (4/15). WE HOPE THIS IS A SIGN OF ANOTHER AMAZING SUMMER OF BLUE WHALES.

Over the weekend the anglers aboard the Thunderbird made it worth 654 fish for the weekend. Phenomenal fishing and weather would be and understatement.

The Thunderbird is scheduled to fish Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week in March. Give us a call to get your reservation. 949.673.1434

This year there is a big change to years past, Lingcod can now be kept starting tomorrow March 1st and continuing through December 31st. The California Department of Fish and Game has also reduced the size limit of Lingcod from 24″ to 22″, thus only increasing your chances of taking home one of the arguably tastiest fish of the deep.

With the kickoff of the rockfish opener, the Thunderbird will be running overnight trips fishing Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout March. The cost for these trips is $99.00 fishing Wednesday & Friday and $109.00 fishing Saturday & Sunday. If your freezer is looking a little empty after last season, a trip on the Thunderbird is definitely the best way to get that taken care of.

40 Killer Whales Viewed Today (01/19/12)!

Today at Davey’s Locker Sportfishing & Whale Watching we viewed almost over 40 Killer Whales on our 10am & 1pm whale watching trip. Take a look at this video of them fluking!
