Freelance Grabs 24 Yellowtail on their 3/4 Day May 21st, 2013 for only 30 Anglers!

Cuda Cuda Cuda have also been caught aboard the Freelance the past couple days… here is warmer days ahead!

While out on their PM 1/2 Day today, May 1st, the Western Pride got their first exotic fish of the year, an Opah. Let’s hope this is a sign of more good things to come.

Live Bait is back in Newport Bait Barge

San Pedro Bait Company just notified us that the bait barge is back up and running this afternoon(4/15) with small anchovies.

March Madness is all about the Rockfish.

The Thunderbird has been putting it to the rockfish every trip since the opener. They have yet to have a trip where they didn’t come home with limits on the rockfish and even a few trips have comeback with full day bag limits of 20 fish per person. If you have yet to make a trip this get on it while the gettin’ is good.

ROCKFISH OPENS MARCH 1st!!!

After a two month closure, Rockfish are back in our sights. It’s time to fill the freezer with these tasty creatures of the deep.

With the kickoff of the rockfish opener, 3/4 Day and Overnight trips are back on schedule. The Freelance will be running daily 3/4 Day trips over to Catalina Island or along the coast. If you have never rockfished and want to get the full experience without having to spend the night on a boat, this is the trips for you.  If large rockfish is what you really want, the Thunderbird will be running overnight trips fishing Wednesday through Sunday throughout March. If your freezer is looking a little empty after last season, a trip on the Thunderbird is definitely the best way to get that taken care of. The quality of fish at the outer islands can be remarkable.

Make sure to call in to get your reservations. Some trips are filling fast.
